Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia

The signed treaty between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation which allegedly “does violence to sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia and is not legally binding” was condemned by the Council of Europe Deputy Ministers Committee within discussion of the agenda “The Council of Europe and the Georgian conflict” on May 12, 2015.

Comment by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia

May, 5 saw a meeting of German and Georgian Foreign Ministers, when Frank-Walter Steinmaier spoke once again in support of “territorial integrity of Georgia” and declared non-recognition of the Treaty on Alliance and Integration signed between South Ossetia and the Russian Federation. The fact that Germany is supporting Georgia isn't new.
