In conclusion of the official visit to the Republic of Srpska and Belgrade Anatolii Bibilov, the South Ossetian President, and members of the South Ossetian delegation visited the Church of Saint Sava in Belgrade on January 12, 2018.

Father Stefan, the Beneficiary of the Church, told the guests about the history of construction and reconstruction of the main sanctuary of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

The Church of Saint Sava is one of the biggest Orthodox cathedrals in the Europe, which impresses with its grandeur and scale. The Church of Saint Sava in Vracar plateau stands on the same place where the Ottoman Turks enslaving Serbian lands barbarously burned the relics of the greatest saint and the first Archbishop of Serbia.

Later the delegation of the Republic of South Ossetia visited the metochion of the Russian Orthodox Church in Belgrade – the Church of Holy Trinity.

The Church of Holy Trinity was built by Russian officers and citizens of the Russian Empire, who came to Serbian land after the notorious events of 1917-1918.

These days the official delegation of South Ossetia will come back to Motherland.
