Opening ceremony of the Second Global Forum of Young Diplomats “Together to the Future”, organized by the Board of Young Diplomats under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, chaired by Konstantin Kolpakov, was held in Sochi on November 12.


Zarina Kochieva, First Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Aleksandra Tskhovrebova, Attaché of the Ministry, are representing the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry.

Current international challenges, future of economic foreign policy, impact of modern media on international relations and the concept of “horizontal diplomacy” will be discussed at plenary sessions.

Russian State Duma Committee for the CIS Affairs, Anatolii Shostak, representative of the Russian MFA in Krasnodar Krai, Vasiliy Pushkov, Head of Centre of international projects of "Rossiya segodnya", George Kaptelin, Deputy Editor-in-chief of News agency TASS , and others are expected to be among the guests of the Forum.

The event is a unique international platform connecting young diplomats from many states, and where discussions on wide range of foreign policy and external economic issues took place. Experts in foreign relations and political science as well as international journalists will participate in the Forum.

A final declaration is planned to be signed based on the results of the Forum.
