The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia strongly condemns another air strike carried by US-led coalition in Deir ez-Zor, which resulted in victims among civilians, and perceives these actions as an open act of aggression against a sovereign state.

The military action of the USA and its allies, which has been undertaken in contravention of the UN, is a blatant violation of both the sovereignty and the territorial integrity of Syria and of general principles and norms of the international legislation, and can be qualified as nothing but an open military aggression against Syria.

In fact, the USA by its actions just aggravates the humanitarian catastrophe in Syria and turns the situation into an international armed conflict, which threatens with serious consequences for the region and whole world.

The Republic of South Ossetia consistently speaks against the use of force and urges members of the UN Security Council to apply maximum efforts to accomplish the task set by the international community to reestablish and maintain peace and expresses its solidarity with legitimate authorities of Syria in their struggle against international terrorism.
