In framework of the visit of the South Ossetian Foreign Minister Dmitrii Medoev and the Mayor of Tskhinval Alan Kochiev to the Italian Republic, an Agreement on Cooperation between the Administration of Tskhinval (the Republic of South Ossetia) and the Municipality of Gradara (the province of Pesaro and Urbino, the Italian Republic) was signed in the town of Gradara on May 24.


Alan Kochiev and Fillipo Gasperi, Mayors of Tskhinval and Gradara, signed the Agreement.

The Agreement provides for mutually beneficial cooperation between the towns of Tskhinval and Gradara in trade and economy, education and social sphere, culture, architecture and art, sports and tourism, as well as in others spheres of mutual interest.

Alongside with this the Agreement provides for holding of joint conferences, workshops and cultural events with participation of ensembles from the two nations.

Exchange of memorable gifts followed the ceremony of signing.

Domenico Pascuzzi, Mayor of the city of Gabicce Mare, was present at the ceremony of signing as well.
