Participants of international project Ethnolager 2018 – Trace of the Alans visited the Republic of South Ossetia on July 27-29 and August 5-7.

In framework of the project representatives of the Ossetian communities form Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Germany and France visited South Ossetia.

The project Ethnolager – Trace of the Alans is jointly implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Ministry for National Relations of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. The project provides the Ossetian youth residing abroad with a unique opportunity to visit the ancestral land and touch traditions and ancient culture of the Ossetian nation.

In accordance with the program prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the participants of the project laid flowers at the Chapel at the Memorial cemetery of Tskhinval school №5. During an observing tour the guests saw several historic monuments of the South Ossetian architecture, visited sanctuary Dzher and observed the exhibition in the National Museum. Apart from that a special lecture dedicated to the history of Ossetia took place in the South Ossetian State University.

Young representatives of Ossetian communities had an opportunity to meet with Anatolii BIbilov, the President of the Republic Ossetia, and ask him numerous questions of interest.

We sincerely hope that our compatriots have received the most positive impressions and emotions of the stay in South Ossetia, which they will share with their communities upon arrival to home.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia expresses gratitude to the Administration of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia, Administration of the Dzau region of South Ossetia, stuff of the National Museum, the South Ossetian State University as well as to members of Edinaya Alania Public State Youth Organization for active engagement in organizing the stay of the participants of Ethnolager in South Ossetia.
