Pertaining to the results of an official visit of South Ossetia delegation to the Moldovan Transdniestrian Republic

Kazbulat Tskhovrebov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Igor Kochiev, Foreign Policy and Inter Parliamentary Relations Committee Chairman, went on an official visit to Tiraspol and participated in ceremonies dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of the Moldovan Transdniestrian Republic on September 1-3, 2015.


Evgeny Shevchuk, President of the Republic, expressed words of gratitude to South Ossetia authorities for kind attention and awarded members of the delegation with medals “For Strengthening International Cooperation”, a National Award of the Moldovan Transdniestrian Republic.

Terms of expanding communications between the Republics in political and cultural spheres were discussed at the meeting.

On behalf of President Tibilov Kazbulat Tskhovrebov congratulated the President of Pridnestrovie with the remarkable date and thanked for the award and the possibility to celebrate the anniversary of the Republic with fraternal people.

Nina Shtanski, Transdniestrian Foreign Minister, also met with South Ossetia delegation. Further development of interstate relations in general and between foreign policy departments in particular was discussed. Minister Shtanski congratulated the guests with the 7th anniversary of recognition of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Russian Federation and expressed hopes that the countries would keep on walking the same path and strengthen the ties.
