In connection with the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Republic of Nicaragua as well as with the necessity of maintenance and development of the permanent links with the Republic of Nicaragua by the decree of the Republic of South Ossetia President E. Kokoity on 26 July 2011 the Embassy of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Republic of Nicaragua with the residence in city Tskhinval was established.

Also by the decree of the Republic of South Ossetia President E. Kokoity on 26 July 2011 Kozaev Narim Zakharovich was appointed an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Republic of Nicaragua.
