In framework of the official visit of Anatoliy Bibilov, the President of the Republic of South Ossetia, to the Russian Federation a meeting of Dmitriy Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, with Mike Aroy, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Nauru, took place on November 13, 2017 in Moscow.


A range of issues of mutual interest was discussed during the meeting. In particular, strengthening cooperation through the two Foreign Ministries was on the agenda.

Special attention was drawn to details of implementation of the agreements achieved at the meeting of President Bibilov and President Waqa, which had taken place earlier.

In framework of the official visit of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Russian Federation a meeting of Anatoliy Bibilov with Baron Divavesi Waqa, the President of the Republic of Nauru, took place in Moscow on November 13, 2017.


The Presidents exchanged opinions on the possibilities of development of the bilateral ties in specific directions, which could help in making interstate contacts more active and promote further harmonization of the two nations. Apart from that the parties had a discussion on the perspectives of cooperation between South Ossetia and Nauru at the international arena.

The President of Nauru expressed readiness to assist the people of South Ossetia in extending international ties with those countries of the Pacific Rim, which Nauru has friendly relations with.

Upon the invitation from Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation, Anatoliy Bibilov, the President of the Republic of South Ossetia, arrived in Moscow on an official visit on November 13, 2017.
