Anatolii Bibilov, the President of the Republic of South Ossetia, heading the South Ossetian delegation, participated in the festive events, dedicated to the 26th Anniversary of the Republic of Srpska on January 26, 2018.


The official program of celebrations began with the laying of a wreath at the memorial to the Serbs who died in the Bosnian Wars in 1990-s.

On the occasion of the holiday a traditional military parade was held at the Square of Krajina.

January 9, 2018 saw the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Anatolii Bibilov and members of the South Ossetian official delegation attending the festive liturgy in honor of the Holy First-Martyr and Archdeacon Stefan, the patron saint of the Republic of Srpska, served by His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Banja Luka.


The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik, Crown Prince Alexander II Karadjordjevic with his wife, members of the Government of the Republic of Srpska and the Republic of Serbia attended the liturgy among many of the faithful.

On January 9 the Republic of Srpska of Bosnia and Herzegovina celebrates its main national holiday - the Day of the Republic.
