Perspectives and plans for extending the bilateral cooperation in various spheres were discussed during the meeting. Special attention was paid to the development of business and economic ties.

Wide range of issues related to the bilateral cooperation, including interaction in framework of the Protocol on Cooperation and Consultations, signed between Foreign Ministries of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Republic of Artsakh in 2001, as well as extension of the legal base were discussed during the meeting. Exchange of opinion on current regional and international agenda took place as well.

Range of issues of mutual interest was discussed during the meeting.
The parties agreed to establish and develop inter-parliamentary ties between the Edinaya Ossetia Political party of South Ossetia and the Issukai Far-right Political party of Japan.
Alongside with this Mitsuhiro Kimura accepted with gratitude the invitation of Dmitrii Medoev to visit South Ossetia.
A delegation from the Issukai Far-right Political party, headed by its leader Mitsuhiro Kimura, visited South Ossetia after the August War of 2008 and condemned the Georgian aggression against South Ossetia.
