In framework of the working visit to the Republic of Artsakh Dmitrii Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Alania, met with Masis Mailyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh, on April 29.


Wide range of issues related to the bilateral cooperation, including interaction in framework of the Protocol on Cooperation and Consultations, signed between Foreign Ministries of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Republic of Artsakh in 2001, as well as extension of the legal base were discussed during the meeting. Exchange of opinion on current regional and international agenda took place as well.

Dmitrii Medoev congratulated Masis Mailyan on the appointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh, wished him success, professional achievements and thanked for the invitation and warm reception.

At the same time Dmitrii Medoev expressed condolences on the occasion of the Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

The meeting continued in an extended format with participation of representatives of both Foreign Ministries.

Upon the meeting the Ministers laid flowers to the monument to victims of the Armenian Genocide.

Tsitseron Khakhanov, officer of the Legal Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, is on the visit with Dmitrii Medoev.
