Murat Dzhioev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, hosted a meeting with Vitaly Ignatiev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, who arrived to Tskhinval heading a delegation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic to participate in the festivities dedicated to the 26th Anniversary of the Republic of South Ossetia.


Aleksej Sanakoev, Head of Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, Egor Kochiev, Head of Diplomatic Mission of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the Republic of South Ossetia, and Sergey Cheresh, Chief of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, participated in the meeting.

The parties mentioned the importance of the new Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership signed between the Republics on September 20, 2016. The necessity of such an agreement appeared due to current international realities. The parties exchanged opinions on the existing level of bilateral relations and expressed their visions on ways of further development of these relations.
