We consider it necessary that serious attention should be drawn at another attempt of rewriting historical facts related to aggravation of Ossetian-Ingush conflict in autumn 1992 that were made on Russian channel “Zvezda” in program “Legends of army with Alexander Marshal”, dedicated to Mr. Evkurov, Head of the Republic of Ingushetia. Exceptionally insulting for the Ossetian wordings was used in the program. There were obvious history facts travesty and aspiration to shift responsibility for victims, destructions and shattered confidence between neighboring states on Ossetian party.

Particular bewilderment was caused by the fact that this time not only a Head of one of the Republics of the Russian Federation, but a popular and respected in South Ossetia Russian channel participated in the anti-Ossetian informational campaign.

We have to admit that it is another provocative act alongside with never-ending attempts to increase tensions between Ossetian and Ingush nations, to blow out another trouble spot in difficult North Caucasus region. We believe that investigation of those circumstances when broadcasting of such a program on federal Russian TV became possible, has to be conducted to the bitter end.
