A meeting of Dmitrii Medoev, the South Ossetian Foreign Minister, with Vitaly Verkeenko, the mayor of Vladivostok, took place in the administration of Vladivostok on February 9. 2018.


During the negotiations the parties discussed the perspectives of bilateral cooperation between Tskhinval and Vladivostok in different areas, the possibilities of implementation of joint humanitarian projects including those for the youth. Special attention was drawn to interaction in sphere of culture and cultural exchanges. This, in particular, was related to organizing exhibitions, concerts and other events.

Upon the meeting Dmitrii Medoev and Vitaly Verkeenko expressed readiness to continue the cooperation and develop the plan for joint events for further signing of the Memorandum on cooperation.

Yason Demeev, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Far Eastern Federal District of the Russian Federation, participated in the meeting as well.
