I framework of the IV Yalta International Economic Forum Anatolii Bibilov, the President of the Republic of South Ossetia, met with the official delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic, headed by Samer Al-Khalil, the Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, on April 19.


Dmitrii Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, Gennadii Kokoev, the Minister of Economic Development, and Znaur Gassiev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Russian Federation, participated in the meeting.

During the meeting Anatolii Bibilov expressed words of sympathy to the struggle of the people and the authorities of Syria for preserving the sovereignty and the territorial integrity of their state and condemned the barbarous air bombardment of Syria by the USA.

Alongside with this the parties discussed the perspectives of the bilateral interaction in various areas and touched upon range of issues of mutual interest.

The meeting was held in a warm and constructive atmosphere.
