September 30 saw the official delegation of the Republic of South Ossetia, headed by Anatolii Bibilov, the President of the Republic of South Ossetia, participating in the events, dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of Victory and Independence Day of the Republic of Abkhazia. In framework of the events the delegation laid wreaths at the monument to Vladislav Ardzinba, the first President of the Republic of Abkhazia, located in village Lower Eshera of the Sukhum district.


On the 25th Victory Day wreaths were also laid to the memorial to victims of the Abkhazian Patriot War raised in the Park of Glory in Sukhum.

Anatolii Bibilov, the President of the Republic of South Ossetia, Raul Khadzhimba, the President of the Republic of Abkhazia, numerous guests from amiable states, members of the Parliament and the Government of Abkhazia, leaders and participants of veterans and public organizations.

A military parade, dedicated to the Day of Victory and Independence of the Republic of Abkhazia was held at the Square of Freedom in Sukhum on the same day. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Abkhazia Raul Khadzhimba took the salute at the parade in which the parade unit and the color guard of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of South Ossetia participated.
