Meetings in support of South Ossetia are being held in Europe

Meetings in support of South Ossetia organized by the International Association of Ossetian Communities “Renaissance” are being held in several European capitals today.
The Actions were held in Berlin, Strasbourg and Brussels as Commissioner of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia on human rights David Sanakoev informed IA “Res”.

Question: How do you estimate the decision of the International UN Court pertaining the Kosovo status problem?
Answer. Notwithstanding the fact that decision of International UN Court is of consultative character, it creates certain internationally legal precedent. It is crucially important to underline, that the court marked only the Declaration of proclamation of independence itself. However, on my opinion, this decision may be considered as an indirect recognition of Kosovo independence, what will push other states to its recognition.

On 8 of June 2010 Geneva played host for the eleventh meeting within the framework of international discussions on security and stability in Transcaucasia. Discussions participating on equal grounds by delegations of the Republic of Abkhazia, Republic of South Ossetia, Georgia, Russia and US are held in accordance with Medvedev-Sarcozi agreements of the 12th of August and of the 8th of September 2008.

Greeting message of the Transnistrian Moldovan Republic Foreign Ministry

The Transnistrian Moldovan Republic Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Yastrebchak directed a greeting message to the Republic of South Ossetia Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Dzhioev in connection with the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic war. The Russian Federation Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov directed a greeting message to the Republic of South Ossetia Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Dzhioev in connection with the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic war. The message particularly says: “Sincerely congratulate You and the personnel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia with the momentous date of the common history of our peoples – 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War”.

In connection with commemoration of the Day of the Memory and Grief in the Republic of South Ossetia on the 20th of May memorial events were held in Transdnistrian Moldovan Republic.
